The Dcharts--Dynamic Charts developed by flash is a client display component, which runs on the explorer. As flash plug-in is installed in nearly every explorer, the chart component can run on different kinds of main explorers without extra installation. Histogram, packing diagram, horizontal bar-chart, and horizontal bar packing diagram, pie chart, line figure, curve diagram, and radar diagram all together can be displayed dynamically; the type of the charts can be switched on the client as well. Besides, the client can control the display of the charts through setting the display attributes. Check the instructions.

This component is merely 35K smaller than any picture on webs with the above eight kind of charts running, which fulfill the important design purpose to save broadband resources.

The chart at the top left corner is a dynamic chart. You may try clicking the right key to switch the chart types, show the setting and export pictures.

Dynamic Charts consists of only two documents: chart.swf, which is a chart component document; chartobject.js, which is responsible for loading and defining the overall attributes. It is very easy to use it. Just insert the codes as follows:

Every kind of chart in Dynamic Charts is displayed in dynamic form and user interaction is available. Meanwhile, data of the Dynamic Charts is also dynamic. What you need to do is assembly the data into a document or character symbol string in XML form. It is quite simple and you may use php|jsp(servlet)|asp|Python|perl or any language you are familiar with to output it. Besides, you may make valuation of the chart components---a new XML address or character symbol string---dynamically and without refreshing. If you don't need dynamic data, you may directly write a static XML document to provide data. The form of this XML is fixed and unified, which may be a static document, a dynamic address or even a character symbol string output on the web only if it fulfills the requirements of the XML format. It is easy to use Dynamic Charts; you just need to provide data and the rest work will be finished by the component automatically. As a developer, you may need to control the shown details. Dynamic Charts provides some setting choices, so you may make the overall setting in chartobject.js instead of the original one. You may also make settings in a single chart.
