The Browser

  1. Quick Look Toolbar Button

    Opens or closes the Quick Look window. The Quick Look Window allows for larger previews in a floating window.
  2. Get Info Toolbar Button

    Opens the file information window. File information will show details about the file that are not visible in the browser as standard.
  3. Add To Favorites Toolbar Button

    Adds an alias/shortcut of the selected files, to the favorites folder. Favorites is just like bookmarks for a web browser, select files/folders and store links to them in the favorites folder.
  4. Print & Layouts Toolbar button

    The Print & Layouts interface is where printing takes places. Organize images into layouts.Opens the Print & Layouts interface, if files are selected they get added to the Print & layouts interface.
  5. The Path Bar

    The Path Bar displays the path to the current folder or album. Clicking on a path segment will open that folder/album. The navigation buttons allow you to visit places you have been already.
  6. Icon Area

    This is where the icons are displayed when browsing folders/albums.
  7. Search Field

    The Search Field allows files to be found by typing in their name. Clicking on the search icon allows the search scope to be changed.
  8. Icon Size Slider

    Changes the size of the icons, left is smaller, right is bigger.
  9. Icon View Mode

    Changes the way how the icons are displayed. The left button displays icons in a grid, the middle button displays icons in a list format and the right button displays icons in a column view, allowing larger previews in the right hand column.
  10. The Sidebar

    The sidebar stores starting places used for finding images. From the sidebar, iPhoto, connected disks and some folders can be access. Folders can be added by selecting "Add To Sidebar" from the File menu while a folder is selected.
