Bullet Wound Effect

This effect uses stage blood and fake skin. You can find the recipes to make your own stage blood here or fake skin here.

Due to certain federal laws, you are not allowed to use real guns with blanks and squibs (which is the explosive part of a body shot), however, cap guns can work by taking off the safety cap. For the live body hit, fill a holey bag with a stage blood-soaked sponge and place it behind a pre-cut hole in your shirt. When the gun fires (which will spark and smoke - keep about 5 feet from the person - read the warning labels on cap gun packages) the person with the bag will quickly grab the wound, squeezing the bag to release stage blood. If the precut hole is cut well, when wounded victim falls, the hole should kind of spread open a tad, show the stage blood sort of pouring from the wound.

For the body hit wound, apply fake skin into a ball. Using a pencil, push into the ball to make a hole. Blend this into your skin and pour fake blood over the wound effect for a body hit.
