Burns
What You Will Need
- 1 box of Knox® powdered no flavor gelatin
- 6-8 paper cups
- Pan of very hot water
- Red food coloring
- 2 popsicle sticks
- Cup (240ml) of water
- Measuring spoons
What You Will Do
- Measure one teaspoon of gelatin into a paper cup.
- Add one drop of food coloring and one teaspoon of hot water.
- Mix rapidly with sticks. It dries and sticks very fast.
- Stick the gelatin on any desired place. Push around the place to help
gelatin stick.
- Keep pan of hot water on the stove, but not boiling. Repeat steps 1-5 until desired place is covered.
What You Can Do
- Cotton and latex can be used for severe burns. You can mix the right reds with black for the effect. Pink and white can make great burns with the black makeup mentioned below.
- For blisters, add white rice or white beans, depending on the size of the burn.
- For a charcoaled effect without cotton, simply pat black makeup lightly on the burn. You may wish to lighten it with grey to get a more realistic effect.
