On Hyper-Threading Technology enabled
systems, the SMBus driver has an issue when the bus hang recovery code is
executed. The bus hang recovery code is executed in the rare case when the
bus gets locked up, by incorrectly accessing a SMBus device. This issue
manifests itself as a blue screen if driver verifier is attached.
Otherwise, it may not be seen and may have unexpected results. |

2 | The driver name, SMB.SYS, collides
with a network driver that within the Windows* .NET Server operating system.
This name collision will possibly prevent the driver from properly
installing or it may inadvertently corrupt part of the network stack.
NOTE: Windows* .NET Server is not supported by the SMBus driver . |
